A family will be moving in to the latest Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings home soon.
The home is located at 633 Sidney Street.
Harmony Homes Quinte led the refurbishment project.
Tom Streek, President of Harmony Homes Quinte says, “Our Harmony team worked well alongside Habitat PEH, and we are proud to have had the opportunity to help the community. It’s inspiring to know a family will live here for many years to come and that we had a role in helping them. I’ve said it many times, like Habitat for Humanity, we’re committed to improving our community and investing in people.”
The City of Belleville provided the home to Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings in an effort to address the current home ownership crisis.
Habitat’s Chief Executive Officer Hazzem Koudsi says a family has been selected and they will be announced when their required 500 volunteer hours are completed.
He expects the family to complete those required volunteer hours in the very near future and advised the traditional key ceremony will follow shortly thereafter.
