UPDATE: The highway is now reopened.
Highway 7 was closed between Kaladar and Sharbot Lake for some time early Saturday morning following a single vehicle collision.
Around 2 o’clock, OPP received a call from a distraught female saying her boyfriend was stuck in a car that veered off the highway and into a pond in the area of Kellar Road.
Reports indicate she got out of the car through a window.
Police, fire and paramedics responded to find a car mostly submerged in water.
