It couldn’t get much closer.
It was a beautiful day in the Quinte region Friday and the temperature climbed to a mostly sunny 22.9 degrees by 4 in the afternoon.
And that high was just two tenths of a degree short of a record for an April 21.
The local record for the date is 23.1 degrees set 46 years ago in 1977.
