Central Hastings OPP are investigating a fatal crash in Tweed.
On Monday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the report of a head on crash on Highway 7.
Reports indicate an eastbound SUV was turning left on Varty Road, east of Actinolite.
The vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle, which forced it into oncoming traffic.
The SUV collided with a westbound pickup truck.
The driver of the SUV was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were taken to hospital for treatment.
Highway 7 was closed between 41 and 37 for the evening.
The investigation continues.
