Despite the lack of hockey, the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre was packed over the weekend.
The Quinte Home Builders Home and Lifestyle Show featured hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees.
Ruth Estwick is the CEO for the Quinte Home Builders.
She says the event is a labour of love.
“Hundreds of hours go into it, we have a fantastic set-up. The City of Belleville has been amazing for us at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Filled with things that were all about home.”
She says the weather was perfect for the home show.
“Fantastic quality event for our exhibitors. Lots of things going on. Something for everyone at the show. We got a lot of really good feedback so far for our exhibitors.”
Estwick says they still do not have the exact number of attendees, however it was more than last year.
It was also the 50th anniversary of the show.
“So we had a walk down memory lane, sharing all kinds of photos, collateral that we had from years past, home show guides, things like that, just so people could say wow I remember that or hey there’s my dad.”
