There are some delays on Highway 7 in the Kaladar area Wednesday afternoon.
A structure fire just west of Kaladar during the noon hour quickly spread to a grass fire due to high winds.
The grass fire spread approximately 200m east of the residence.
The grass fire was brought under control with firefighters from the Addington Highlands Fire Department and Stone Mills Fire Department continuing to work on the structure fire.
The highway is down to one lane of traffic, being directed by Lennox & Addington OPP.
The road will be fully reopened once the Fire Department is satisfied that the “hot spots” are contained.
