Belleville police responded to 72 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on April 5, 2023 to 5 a.m. on April 6, 2023.
Mischief, Breach Probation and Weapons Dangerous
On April 6, 2023 at 12:01 a.m., police were called to an east end residence in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, police learned that a male had attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend and broken a window out of a door. The male fled the residence prior to police arrival. Police conducted a search of the area and located the suspect hiding under a car. The male was arrested and charged with weapons dangerous, mischief under $5000 and breaching his probation. He was held for a bail hearing on April 6, 2023.
Break and Enter
On April 5, 2023 at 6:05 a.m., police received a call to attend a business on Dundas St. East in regards to an insecure door. Upon arrival the keyholder of the business informed police that they observed a suspect walking away just prior to police arriving. Following an investigation, 43-year-old James Patrick of no fixed address was arrested and charged with break and enter, mischief under $5000 and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on April 5, 2023.
