A local toddler turns heads wherever he goes.
Fourteen-month-old Houston Buxton of Belleville has some of the most spectacular hair you have ever seen.
Hugh’s (Houston’s short form name) parents Kyle and Dana Buxton wanted to do something special for his first hair cut and they are doing just that.
Dana Buxton says many people question his long locks.
“We get asked a lot if he’s wearing a wig. It’s very long, it goes down to about his shoulder blades. It’s very straight but very voluminous, so it looks like he’s wearing a wig. “
Buxtons says they are raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Hugh will get his first haircut, with the locks going to make wigs for children living with cancer.
She says Hugh is perfect for the mission.
“Because it’s that perfect, they call it virgin hair that’s unprocessed and untouched, it’s the perfect hair to donate to cancer, to making wigs.”
