A crucial step is being taken this week regarding Loyalist College students and Belleville Transit services.
A survey is now being distributed to students to assess if enough students would like a bus pass included as part of their tuition fees.
The city’s Transit Advisory Committee has asked Loyalist to conduct a such a survey.
It’s believed the passes would lower fares and be a much simpler and effective way of handling the increasing number
of passengers from the college.
Results are expected next week.
Many other colleges and universities include the cost of bus passes in their fees.
Several years ago a similar survey was done at Loyalist but received little support for the idea.
The actual survey being distributed to Loyalist students is below.
The City of Belleville and Loyalist College are working together to create a cost effective and efficient public transit system for Loyalist College students. Your input, as a Loyalist student, is important as we consider what such a plan could include.
Please accept our thanks for taking the time to complete this survey. All responses are confidential and anonymous.
