Hastings County has joined a study to take a look at regional growth in the Quinte area and the state of human health resources.
County council made the decision at its meeting on Thursday.
The project involves Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County and Loyalist College.
A recent report says it became clear that it would be necessary to have up-to-date population growth projections in order to assess current state and future needs for staffing.
The price to hire the consultant Watson and Associates Economists for the report is $22,400.
