A resolution to reduce its operating budget will be discussed at Prince Edward County’s Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday.
Councillor Bill Roberts is behind a resolution asking council to support a 10% reduction to the 2024 operating budget from 2023.
That would result in approximately $3 million in savings.
Roberts’ resolution suggests saving options focus on technological modernization, process improvements and other forms of creative solutions that minimize impact to current service delivery.
Prince Edward County Committee of the Whole meets Thursday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at Highline Hall in Wellington.
