An alert taxi cab driver got help for someone when they really needed it.
On Tuesday evening around 8:00 pm, a 34 year old woman of no fixed address wanted a ride to a local church, but was refused access.
She then asked to be driven to Potter’s Creek, where she told the driver she was going to the water to “end it all”.
Officers were contacted and they discovered she had removed her clothing and thrown it into the bay.
She was arrested for her own safety and later released.
