Hastings Prince Edward Public Health staff will be at Loyalist College today (Monday) offering vaccinations against chickenpox.
Recently, several people were diagnosed with chickenpox in the college community and public health officials stress that anyone who has not had the disease before and/or has not been vaccinated should get a shot as soon as possible.
Chickenpox is a very contagious viral infection causing fever, headaches, and tiredness, followed by an itchy rash.
Today’s vaccination clinic will be held from 11:30 until 3:30 at the Residence Commons.
