The Trenton Golden Hawks have pushed the Toronto Jr. Canadiens to the brink.
At Scotiabank Pond on Sunday night the GHawks defeated the Canadiens 7-4 and in the process took a three games to none lead in the best of seven Southeast Conference semifinal.
DMan Lucas Robinson says despite the 3-0 series lead, it is far from over.
Head Coach Jerome Dupont says they played hard.
First star of the game Matthew Cato scored twice and added a couple of assists as the Golden Hawks out shot Toronto 35 to 29.
Other Trenton goals came from David Fournier, Adam O’Marra, Zev Podolski, Ryan Holmes, and Jaden Raad.
The GHawks can clinch the series at home Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
During the regular season Toronto finished in first place, almost 20 points ahead of fourth place Trenton.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Dukes can take a three games to none lead in their series with the Haliburton County Huskies Monday
night. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Wellington.
