Three people have been charged in a robbery investigation in Belleville from Tuesday night.
Just before 8:00 p.m., city police received a call of people fighting at a North Front Street business.
A security officer was in a fight with a theft suspect, however, by the time police arrived, the suspect fled.
The security guard said he had attempted to stop the suspect from leaving, when he began to resist.
A male and female pulled up in a vehicle, pulled out baseball bats and threatened the security guard.
They were eventually arrested and charged.
A 25-year-old woman and 61-year-old man were charged with robbery.
A 26-year-old man was charged with robbery and weapons dangerous.
All three Belleville residents were held for a bail hearing.
