The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils are ETA Champions & OMHA-Championship Bound
After winning both games this past weekend, the team finished first in the ETA playoffs with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss and are headed to Oakville for the OMHA Championships.
Saturday it was an away game in Oshawa to take on the Generals. Quinte skated to a 8-1 win.
Red Devil goals were scored by Cohen Reid (3), Evan Andrews (2), Ryker Thompson, Malkin Courtney and Graydon Tucker. Picking up assists were Norton (2), Noah Gilchrist (2), Will Beebe (2), Jaxon Elrick (2), Tucker, Andrews, Kash Nelson and Courtney. Blake Laurin picked up the win in net and was named player of the game.
Sunday it was a home game in Marmora against the Markham Waxers. Quinte won 9-1.
Red Devil goals were scored by Evan Andrews (3), Max Norton (2), Jaxon Elrick, Ethan Dowling, Kash Nelson and Will Beebe. Assists went to Noah Gilchrist (2), Andrews, Ryker Thompson, Malkin Courtney, Sebastien Smit, Elrick, Nelson, Beebe and Norton.
ON DECK: The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils are heading to the OMHA Championships at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville. The team has two games on Friday, March 24 at 10:15am and 5:45pm. On Saturday, March 25, they play 1:15pm.

The McInroy Maines U18 Quinte Red Devils Finished the First Round of Playoffs with Two Wins Resulting in a Tie for the Top Spot
Saturday saw the Devils play host to the Oshawa Generals on the CAA ice for a crowd of fans. Quinte took the lead later in the first with a goal from Carter McKee on the set up from Joey Coates. With a tie game heading into the second, the Devils took the chance to pull ahead with a two-goal lead with two unanswered from Thomas Elkins and Ty McCambridge. Assisting in the second were Justin Murdoch, Wyatt Gregory and Jared Woolley. The third was a tough battle back and forth and while the Gens snuck a couple past the QRD netminder, one more goal for the Devils from Elkins on the set up from Thomas Kuipers and Murdoch would secure the win. Glen McInnes was in net for the win.
Game two of the weekend had the team on the road to Aurora to face the York Simcoe Express. In a must win game scenario, the Devils brought their best and opened the game with a goal from Kuipers mere seconds into the game on the pass from Murdoch. Trent Williams would add another unassisted to make it a 2-0 game heading into the second. After giving up one in the second, it was Kuipers with his second of the game to gain back the two goal Devils lead, assisted by Beau Reade and Luke Jarmin. In the dying seconds of the game Deacon Ellis would secure the win with an empty netter, assisted by Woolley. Dean Spry was in net for the win.
ON DECK: The weekend results forced a point tie between Quinte and Oshawa – the one game final play-in for the OMHA tournament is now scheduled for Tuesday in Oshawa. Winner takes all to punch the ticket to the OMHAs.

The Quinte E360 Solutions U14s Down RHC In OMHA Playdowns
The Quinte E360 Solutions Red Devils improved to 4 and 0 in OMHA playdowns, defeating the Richmond Hill Coyotes 7-1 on Saturday. QRD got three point games from Ty Leavitt and Ryan Foley while Charlie Vos grabbed the win between the pipes. Cam Lewis and Will Babcock were credited with strong performances by the coaching staff. Devils of the Day were Ty Leavitt and Isaac Tracze.

Gillespie’s Tree Service U13s Clinch A Berth To The OMHA Tournament!!
The Gillespies Tree Service U13s faced off against the North Central Predators this past Saturday with two large points at stake. The Red Devils would start the opening frame off strong as Liam Marion got the game-opening goal, Lauchlan Whelan with the helper. Coen Lowry would help pad the Red Devils’ lead with the assist coming from Drew Wright. Quinte would continue to dominate and add three more goals in the second, scored by Trent Clow (Liam Marion, Joey Seguin), Ewan Dahle (unassisted) and Andrew Laurin (Ewan Dahle). The Red Devils would hold their lead, winning by a final score of 5-0 with Ryerson Swan picking up the well-earned shutout.
The QRD U13s made the trip to Oshawa Sunday to play an afternoon meeting against the Generals with a trip to the OMHA Tournament on the line. Jax Martin would open the scoring for Quinte, Easton Thompson would pick up an assist on the play, but Oshawa would respond quickly with a goal of their own. The Red Devils would keep their nose to the grindstone and retake the lead with a goal scored by Liam Marion (Brechyn Aird, Andrew Laurin). Quinte wouldn’t stop there as they gained momentum and ran with it adding three more to secure a 5-2 win. Goals from Spencer Harold (unassisted), Joey Seguin (unassisted), Lauchlan Whelan (Jax Martin). Nathan Ferris played solid between the pipes earning the win.

The Bonn Law QRD U12 Team have secured a spot in the OMHA Championships, after two more wins this past weekend in the ETA playdowns.
The Devils hosted The North Central Predators on Saturday in Marmora. In a total team effort, the boys skated to a 10-2 win. Noah Hughes had 4 goals in the game and was named player of the game. Also scoring in the game: Pettey (2), McRae (2), Marsden and Whalen. Chipping in with helpers on the goals: Whalen (3), Stevens, Nicholson, Gullage, Teather. Dax Sage was solid in net to earn the win.
On Sunday, The Red Devils travelled to Woodville to face their ETA rivals, The Central Ontario Wolves. In a fast paced, back and forth, physical battle that had fans on the edge of their seats, it was the Devils who came out on top in this one, winning the game 3-1. Noah Hughes and Holden Goulah each scored on the powerplay (assisted by Whalen, Nicholson and Pettey). Brody Grant scored the GWG in this one, when he buried a pass from James Gullage. Matt Travers made several highlight reel saves in the game and was named player of the game for his team.
ON DECK: The Bonn Law QRD U12 Team wrap up round robin play with two home games this coming weekend. Saturday 11:00 am @ Baltimore vs Clarington and Sunday 1:00 vs The Wolves @ Colborne.

The Madison Excavating U11 Quinte Red Devils have won their sixth straight playoff game. The U11s travelled to Whitby on Saturday afternoon for a match-up against the Wildcats. The first period saw some back-and-forth action, however, neither team was able to net a goal. The Wildcats struck first with a power play marker, when they banged in a rebound a little over six minutes into the second. The score would remain 1-0 for the Wildcats going into the final period. Just over a minute in, Blake Sills found the back of the net, off a Hewett Tejnor point shot, tying the game at 1-1. With over thirteen minutes to go, both teams had ample opportunity to take the lead. But it was about three and half minutes after QRD’s first goal of the game, when Cooper Plumley scored a bar down game-winner, securing the win for the Devils. Between the pipes, Hayden Tripp made some solid saves to help keep the team on top.

ON DECK: The Madison Excavating U11 Quinte Red Devils will travel to Oakville on Thursday night, preparing for game one of the OMHAs. Their first game will take place the following morning, Friday, March 24th, at 10am, against the Barrie Jr. Colts.
