The Trenton Golden Hawks shut out the Cobourg Cougars 7-0, taking both the game and their best of seven playoff series.
Sam Williamson, Robbie Rutledge, Sami Douglas-Najem, Lucas Robinson, Jordan Fuller, Dillon Stiles, and Nathan Oickle all scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks claimed the first goal late in the first period, before claiming three more in the second, and another three in the third, all while never allowing a single goal on their own net and completely shutting down the Cougars.
Over the course of the game, Golden Hawks goalie Ben Bonisteel completed his first playoff shutout with a total of 33 saves across all 60 minutes of play.
