The Ontario Provincial Police have taken over a shooting incident investigation from the Coboug Police Service.
Early Tuesday a man was dropped off at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man, whose identity has not been released, is listed in stable condition.
The OPP’s Criminal Investigations Branch is heading up the investigation and for a time there was an increased police presence in Roseneath involving nine specialty units including the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Urban Search and Rescue, Central Region Emergency Response Team, and Digital Forensics.
