The City of Belleville is holding two Public Information Centres on Accessory Dwelling Units.
The city is updating its zoning by-laws to reflect provincial legislation related to Bill 23: More Homes Built Faster Act which is meant to address housing shortages.
Both meetings will be held March 22, the first from 2 to 4 p.m. and then from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sir Mackenzie Bowell Meeting Room, 3rd floor City Hall.
To help accommodate the public’s attendance while respecting social distancing protocols, attendance will be limited to five members of the public in the meeting room at one time.
There will be no formal presentations but the public can view materials, review the proposed provisions and ask staff questions.
Additional comments will be accepted by phone, mail or email until April 3.
Feedback received will help the project team solidify the proposed provisions, which will be presented to Belleville City Council at an upcoming council meeting.
