The push for a new Campbellford Memorial Hospital continues.
The leadership team provided an update on the proposed hospital redevelopment Tuesday.
The Campus of Care, which will be built on almost 50 acres of land on County Road 30 just west of town, will include a redeveloped hospital, new long term care home, supportive community housing, and space for community health programs.
Recently hospital officials have met MPPs David Piccini and Ric Bresee, made delegations to Minister of Health Sylvia Jones and Minister of Long Term Care Paul Calandra and presented to several surrounding municipal councils.
Officials used the opportunities to describe the limitations of the aging facility and share the vision of a modern, larger hospital, as part of the state-of-the-art Campus of Care.
They say they are grateful for the support they’ve received from municipal partners, provincial representatives and the community as they work towards making the vision a reality.
