It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for The Children’s Foundation Saturday night.
This year’s theme for the Foundation’s annual Guardian Angel gala is “The Royal Ball” and
the guest of honour will be Guardian Angel Aleesha Camp.
She was named this year’s Angel for her years of dedicated volunteer work in the community.
Camp, a local businesswoman and owner of two law firms, was given the Guardian Angel Award in part for her work with numerous local charities including the Children’s Foundation, YMCA, Trenton Memorial Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many other organizations.
The gala at Hero’s Landing in Trenton is sold out but there’s still time to get involved in the Silent auction.
Money raised at the gala will go toward the Foundation’s Reach for Success program which provides scholarships and bursaries to remove financial barriers to post-secondary education for disadvantaged youth.
The Children’s Foundation, serving Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland counties, aims to improve the quality of life for children and youth in need by providing educational opportunities, inspiring activities, engaging experiences, and resources, that empower children and youth for future success.
