A man has a bail hearing in Belleville today after a bizarre text messaging case over the weekend. A woman sent a text to a friend in Manitoba, at 2am Saturday, saying she was being held against her will in an east-end Belleville townhouse. The friend notified police who responded to the scene and a 41 year old man was taken into custody for breaching his undertaking.
Meanwhile… police say the friend from Manitoba has three warrants out for assault, break and enter and breach of undertaking. Police are still investigating the incident and further chargers are pending.
