Belleville council is expected to take the first step toward a major expansion of the city’s Northeast Industrial Park Monday.
At its regular meeting, council will be asked to approve a tender from global consulting firm TYLin International for the completion of an environmental assessment and preliminary design for road access and placement of water/sewer services to almost 700 acres of land stretching from the end of College Street East out to Atkins Road.
While TYLin International’s bid was the second highest of three tenders, at $872,000 plus tax, the firm was recommended due to its technical score.
The lowest priced tender was from Ainley Graham and Associates at $842,000.
