The Downtown District’s soup tasting contest is back on Saturday for its 19th year.
Once again downtown restaurants will compete for the People’s Choice Award voted by soup samplers, and the Judges’ Choice Award, voted by the BIA judges.
Soup samples are $3 each and participants are asked to bring their own spoon to reduce waste, and bundle up because soup’s on no matter the weather!
The Downtown District BIA reminds event participants to take pictures and use hashtag #savourthechill on Social Media.
Tag @downtownbelleville on Instagram with a photo of you enjoying your delicious soup and be entered to win a $50 gift card for Downtown Belleville.
Gift cards can be redeemed like cash at participating Downtown Belleville establishments.

Burger Revolution: Borsch with beef or Tofu
Capers: Tarragon and English Pea with Fried Basil
Paulo and Dinkel’s: Blended Roast Carrot and Ginger
Export Grill: Elote Corn Chowder
Gourmet Diem: Potato Leek
Quinte Corner Cafe: Unstuffed Pepper Soup
Smokin 116 Bistro: Southwest Roasted Corn (vegetarian/ gluten free)
The Lark: Corn chowder
The Sweet Retreat: Sweet Potato Coconut Ginger soup
Toro Sushi: Beef and Radish
Tropical Blends cafe: Loaded potato (available with or without bacon)
L’Auberge de France: Corned Beef, Barley and Cabbage
Savour the Chill takes place February 25, from noon until 3 p.m.
