Prince Edward County OPP have charged a young person after an investigation into threats made to Prince Edward Collegiate Institute on Tuesday.
OPP say they received a report of a threat directed towards the Picton school.
Police began an investigation and confirmed there was no immediate risk to public safety.
A young person was arrested and charged.
They cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The young person was released from custody.
They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
The school was open as usual on Tuesday.
