2023 is less then two months old but it has certainly been an eventful year so far for local figure skater Chloe Choinard.
The 20-year-old Frankford native now skates with the NEXXICE Senior synchronized skating team.
After winning a gold medal at the Skate Canada National Championships and another gold in senior synchronized skating at the Mozart Cup in Salzburg Austria, Choinard and company earned a Bronze at the Spring Cup held in Italy.
There were 16 teams representing 10 countries in the latest stop in the Challenger Series.
NEXXICE is expected to be one of two teams named by Skate Canada to compete at the International Skating Union World Synchronized Skating Championships next month in Lake Placid New York.
