The Belleville Senators edged the Laval Rocket 5-4 in overtime at CAA Arena on Saturday night.
Jake Lucchini, Roby Jarventie, and Egor Sokolov scored for the Senators.
Sokolov opened up scoring for the evening with an early point for the Senators in the first period. Laval came back and claimed three goals before the end of the first period to secure an early and commanding lead. The Senators bounced back with two goals in the second period, but Laval took a fourth to hold on to the lead going into the third period. In the third period, the Senators tied the game again, and forced them to go into overtime, where a final Senators goal sealed the deal.
The Senators face Laval at the CAA Arena for a third time on Monday.
