A search and rescue team from Trenton has found a small aircraft in distress.
Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre says that RCAF search and rescue teams working alongside OPP and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association have successfully located and rescued a pair of people from a plane that had trouble and was forced to set down near Alton, Ontario.
Rescuers were able to locate the craft because it was carrying a working emergency locator transponder.
