Domestic Assault
On February 15, 2023 at 8:20 a.m., Belleville police received a call from a female advising she was on a video call with her daughter and observed her being assaulted by her partner. Police arrived on scene, and spoke with the female victim who was treated for minor injuries. A 27-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with spousal assault. He was held in custody for a bail hearing on February 16, 2023.
Arrested on warrants
On February 15, 2023 at 12:15 p.m., Belleville police received a call regarding an unwanted male causing a disturbance at a Bridge Street Church. On arrival, police recognized the male and knew that he had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation and theft under $5000. Jason Rushlow, 50, of Belleville, was held in custody for a bail hearing on February 16, 2023.
