Members of the Prince Edward County OPP charged a driver with impaired.
On Tuesday February 14, 2023 shortly before 4 p.m., officers responded alongside Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services to a motor vehicle collision near Rossmore. Â Officers arrived on scene where the driver was treated for minor injuries. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver who was then taken to detachment for further testing. Ryan Haydon, age 27 from Belleville, was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration
The driver was released on an undertaking and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 8, 2023. He also had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
