“It’s a, a wonderful film about four musicians who come together and form a band. They’re all on the autistic spectrum disorder. Their music is fantastic and the thing that I think our audience is going to be wowed with is that after the film the band is actually going to be here and they’re going to do the live concert.”
“The Buffy St. Marie Carry It On film. We’re showing that at the Empire Theatre. It’s a stunningly beautiful film and she’s such an amazing activist and also musician. And I have to squeeze in about our finale film. It’s Ice Breaker and it’s about the ’72 Summit Series. That’s an incredible film.”
Festival coordinator Jodi Cooper says while they’re ecstatic to be back to an in-person event, they are keeping a virtual option which will allow anyone in Ontario to participate.
“Which enables us to continue to connect to those audience members that we’ve attracted from across Ontario. So that will start on, on the Sunday March 5 and will run until the following Sunday March 12.”
