The Rochester Americans slipped past the Belleville Senators 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night at CAA Arena.
Jake Lucchini, John Quenneville, Angus Crookshank, and Scott Sabourin scored for the Senators.
The two teams spent most of the game neck in neck, with the Americans leading in the first period and the Senators bouncing back in the second to take the lead before both teams reached a deadlock in the third. After the game went into overtime, the Americans broke the tie first and took home the win.
Belleville Senators Interim Head Coach David Bell said he was happy with how the team worked together during the game.
“I really appreciated the effort and care. I asked them to come together as a team and show support for each other. I thought that was shown,” said Bell.
The Sens face the Cleveland Monsters on Sunday evening at 7:00.
