Suspicious Incident – Request for Public’s Assistance
On January 22, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a young woman was involved in a suspicious incident at Food Basics at 470 Dundas Street East. While the woman was grocery shopping, she was accosted by an older male trying to get her to leave with him for a coffee. Bystanders intervened and the woman left the store safely. Police are looking to identify and speak with this female. Arrested on warrants
On January 31, 2023 at approximately 5:08 p.m., Belleville police attended a North Front Street restaurant regarding several unwanted persons failing to leave. Upon police arrival, one of the suspects was identified as 38-year-old Shane Larmer of Belleville. Larmer was found to be wanted by BPS on warrants of failing to attend court. He was arrested without incident and released a short time later with a court date of February 23, 2023.
On January 31, 2023 at approximately 9:45 p.m., Belleville police officers on general patrol in the city core recognized a male who was wanted by Belleville police on a warrant for failing to attend court. Carl McDonald, 39, of Belleville was arrested without incident, and was released a short time later with a court date of February 23, 2023.
