More than 1000 fans packed the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens and most left happy.
Matthew Cato scored the go-ahead goal at 3:36 of the third period and Lucas Robinson added insurance 40 seconds later as the Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the visiting Lindsay Muskies 3-1. Cato has scored 25 goals and 25 assists in 38 games to lead the Golden Hawks in scoring.
Austin D’Orazio also scored for Trenton as they outshot Lindsay 52-28.
With nine games to go in the regular season, Trenton has already clinched a playoff spot in the South-East Conference.
They host the OJHL-leading Toronto Junior Canadiens on Friday night.
