A Belleville native will be competing for British Columbia at this year’s Scotties Tournament of Hearts national women’s curling championships.
24 year old Kayla MacMillan, who attends the University of British Columbia is the third on the Clancy Grandy rink that won the B.C. provincial curling championships over the weekend.
The Vancouver foursome defeated Team Corryn Brown 10-9 in an extra end.
And they will be hometown favourites as this year’s “Scotties” will be played in Kamloops B.C. next month.
The 23-year-old MacMillan is a graduate of Bayside Secondary School. She has won numerous Ontario championships while curling out of the Quinte Curling Club.
