After closing out 2022 with a four game losing streak, the Belleville Senators have begun the new year on a winning note.
Egor Sokolov’s hat trick led Belleville to a 5-1 win over the Rochester Americans. Sokolov raises his season total to 11 goals.
Ridley Greig (10th) and Jonathan Aspirot (2nd) scored the other Belleville goals. Viktor Lodin had three assists and Mads Sogaard stopped 29 shots.
Belleville is at Syracuse Friday night before returning to the CAA Arena Saturday to host the Manitoba Moose (Winnipeg Jets) at 7:05
