The front end of the winter storm has caused a new rainfall record for the Quinte region.
According to Environment Canada and readings taken at CFB Trenton we received a total of 21.6 mm of rain Thursday.
That was more than the previous record rain for a December 22 which was 17.6 mm, set in 2006.
