Belleville olice responded to 70 calls for service over 24 hours from 5 a.m. on December 20, 2022, to 5 a.m. on December 21, 2022.
Assault
On December 20, 2022 at 7:47 p.m., Belleville police received a call regarding an assault at a west-end residence. Police arrived at the home and learned that a male had assaulted a female resident. The female received minor injuries in the altercation and did not require medical attention. The male had left before police arrival, however, he returned to the residence a short time later, at which time he was arrested for one count of assault. As a result, 53-year-old Belleville resident Danny Boomhower was transported to Belleville Police Service where he was held in custody for a short time and later released with a court date on January 19, 2022.
Theft of Tools
On December 20, 2022 at 9 p.m., Belleville police received a call regarding a theft from a work trailer. The victim provided information that sometime between December 16, 2022 and December 18, 2022, unknown suspect(s) broke into his enclosed trailer containing several power tools. Approximately $6500 in various power tools were taken from an address in Foxboro.
