Trails in the Northumberland County Forest are open but users are urged to exercise caution when hiking.
Several trails are blocked after recent heavy, wet snow caused a number of downed trees and broken branches.
Users of the forest should take care to avoid any fallen trees and debris.
Northumberland Natural Heritage Manager Todd Farrell says staff are working hard to clear any trail hazards.
The work is expected to be completed by next week, however, with another snowfall expected later this week, that could be delayed.
The Northumberland County Forest has an extensive network of over 118 km of trails free for use by the public.
