Christmas in the Village in Belleville has been postponed — but just for one day!
Christmas in the Village is moving to Saturday December 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. as a result of the heavy storm that hit the region. The CSV board felt an extra day would allow the city to further clear the roads, thus making it safer for families to make it to the Village Saturday night.
“The Children’s Safety Village is all about teaching children how to be safe,” board chair Matt Howell said. “That involves making smart decisions when it comes to what you are going to do. The board feels the smart decision in this case is to take the extra time to make sure everyone can safely get to and from the Village.
The annual event is at the former Belleville police station at 129 South John Street in Belleville.
