Central Hastings OPP have charged two men after a report of an assault and a break and enter in the Township of Tudor-Cashel.
OPP say they responded to a report of a break and enter on Tuesday at around 10:10 p.m. on Felbers Rd.
Its alleged that two men entered a home through the front door causing damage.
Shawn Gaines of Tudor-Cashel Twp. was charged with the following:
- CC 348(1)(b) – Break and Enter Dwelling House
- CC 264.1(1)(a) – Utter Threats
- CC 266 – Assault
Ernest Haughton of Tudor-Cashel Twp. was charged with the following:
- CC 348(1)(b) – Break and Enter Dwelling House
- CC 266 – Assault
- CC 733.1(1) – Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order
- CC 145(5)(a) – Fail to Comply with Release Order x 2
Both of the accused were held in custody and are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Wednesday.
