This is our final weekend for our annual preview of 2023.
We talked with the President of Quinte Health Stacey Daub, to get her hopes and goals and those of the Board of Director of Quinte Health.
She says their new strategy has already launched.
“It’s called Creating Healthier Communities Together and its objective is to build back the strength of all of our teams and support them, right? If’ we’re going to provide the best care possible, we need to get back behind our teams and make sure they’re supported going into the new year (2023).”
She says the old adage was patients first, not people first. She says that is an important distinction, because it includes the hospital staff.
Daub is asking residents to be fierce advocates for better health care for our community.
She says one eye is constantly on the largest infrastructure project.
“Well into the design and procurement for Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital. We are putting some great new equipment into Trenton, Belleville, and North Hastings.”
Daub says another area they’re focusing on is clinical service planning.
“We want to think about what’s the future? How is our population changing? What are the needs, and start to think of a plan for clinical services over the next five to ten years.”
