Residents of Belleville will have a chance to “ring in the New Year” at the annual New Year’s Levee held by the city.
Mayor Neil Ellis and Belleville City Council are inviting residents to join them at the annual New Year’s Levee on Sunday, January 1.
This free, family-friendly event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre and all members of the community are invited to attend.
Mayor Neil Ellis says it’s going to be a Family Day.
“We’re moving the levee this year back to New Year’s Day, the first, and we’re hoping that everybody will come out and see. Council will all be there welcoming the New Year in and welcoming the citizens also.”
Ellis adds, “We get to address the citizens and look forward to what’s happening next year.
“It’s kind of nice you know we get to address the citizens and look forward to what’s happening next year and they get to meet council that’s sometimes great for them to meet council. Our staff will be there also.”
The New Year’s event will be at the sports centre January 1, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
