Lots of much needed food was collected Friday by the Belleville Police Service and other volunteers.
The first of two Belleville Police Cram-a-Cruiser events was held at Joe’s No Frills store on Bell Boulevard.
Over 1,000 kilograms of food was donated along with $1,600 in cash.
There will be another Cram-a-Cruiser event at McDowell’s Independent on Dundas Street East Friday December 16.
