Quinte News continues to look ahead at 2023.
We chatted with the mayor of Stirling-Rawdon Bob Mullin, who has also been elected the warden for Hastings County.
Mullin says they have a large infrastructure focus on the heart of the village this year.
“We’re replacing all the water and sewer mains and road surfaces in the main downtown core. That’s a $5 million project. For us that’s a two year project, it’s not a one year project.”
He adds they have a number of other infrastructure projects to be completed.
“Getting a third top coat on a couple of our secondary roads to try and take advantage of the work that was done on them a few years ago. The rest of it this year, we’re getting the new Hastings County Ambulance base, which is being built in Stirling-Rawdon, so that’s a huge project. We’re working with Stirling Manor to find a location and start construction on a new nursing home.”
