The Belleville Senators have announced they have signed defenceman Jack Dougherty to a professional tryout offer.
The 26-year-old is returning for his fourth stint with the team after playing for the Senators from 2019-2022.
In 88 games with the team, Dougherty has collected 22 points including four goals and 18 assists.
Dougherty was originally selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the 2014 NHL Draft.
He’s played with the US National Development Team Program, the University of Wisconsin and the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks and has also won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 World Under 18 Championship.
The Senators are set to take on the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. at the Coca Cola Coliseum.
