100+ Women Who Care Quinte are hosting a holiday fundraiser on Wednesday, December 7.
The group are holding their event at The Grand on Harder drive from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Members of the group are encouraged to bring a friend and wear their best, or worst, holiday-themed sweater. There will be games and a cash bar.
“We meet four times a year and although every single meeting is special as we are making a difference in our area – there is something extra special about our December meeting,” said Tawnya Smith, 100+ Women Leadership member. “This time of year, we are making an impact and sharing the true meaning of the holidays.”
100+ Women Who Care is a charitable group that tries to meet four times a year. The goal is that every member of the group brings a donation of $100 to the fundraiser event, to raise $10,000 for a local charity.
So far, the group has raised $288,125 and donated to 25 different local charities.
