Two drivers have been charged with impaired-related charges in separate incidents in Prince Edward County.
Monday night just before 10 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision near Danforth Road near Wellington.
The driver had left the scene but was located by police and as a result, 44-year-old David Wheatley of Prince Edward County was arrested on charges of:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration
- Fail to remain
- Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
Later in the evening, officers spoke with a driver on County Road 10, arresting 41-year-old Meghan Van Horne of Prince Edward County on charges of:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration- 80 plus
Both drivers were released on undertakings to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
