Nate Burelle snapped a 1-1 tie at 19:32 of the second period and Ben Bonisteel made it stand up as the Trenton Golden Hawks edged the Mississauga Chargers 2-1.
The G-Hawks had to work for this one as they outshot the Chargers 47-22.
Dillon Stiles also scored for Trenton.
The Golden Hawks are in third place in the OJHL’s South-East Conference with 40 points in 32 games played.
They travel to Caledon on Thursday night then host the Toronto Patriots on Friday.
Pirates skunk the Jets
In Junior C hockey, despite being outshot 38-19, the Picton Pirates shut out the Amherstview Jets 3-0.
Brady Spry stopped 30 shots in relief of Ethan Beatie who turned away the other eight.
Landon McLellan scored a goal and assist for Picton.
Tonight (Monday) the Frankford Huskies host the Campbellford Rebels at 6:50.
