A crash last Friday has led to serious charges against a Belleville man.
Around 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to 34 Dundas Street East, near Pinnacle Street.
Belleville police say following the collision, a 24-year-old man exited his vehicle and struck the other driver several times, before returning to his vehicle,
He then slammed into two vehicles and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Witnesses on scene provided information that led to identifying the suspect.
Justin Helm has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, dangerous operation, driving under suspension and failing to remain.
Helm has a December 29 court date.
